Statement from Katie Bullon:
We all know that 2020/21 brought about some significant changes both personally and professionally, but the changes happening at activ are really positive and exciting. I can’t wait to bring you along for the journey. For those that don’t know me, I am Katie and I acquired activ in January 2021.
activ has enjoyed an extremely strong foundation set in 2008 with bespoke website development capabilities and digital marketing solutions. The business continues to enjoy significant growth in both franchisee successes across the UK and Ireland, and direct web clients.
Former owner Wez Barber, lives in Singapore and in 2020, that distance became greater due to COVID travel restrictions. The distance between Singapore and the UK, meant lost opportunities for Wez and other business interests closer to home took over. The time came for Wez to make the decision that new ownership was needed for the UK Franchise.
Following my own successes as a franchisee of activ since 2014 with Bull Solutions, taking over activ felt like the next logical step. Since late 2020 I worked closely with Wez on a smooth transition and takeover of the business.
The acquisition and current market conditions mean now is the perfect time for activ to move into a new era. We have undertaken a full re-brand, we have new team members at head office and we are launching a full new suite of services. It’s very exciting.

Overall, our industry is seeing a period of change and we are here to be at the forefront of these changes! More businesses should be seeking digital solutions and I believe that activ and its franchisees can offer just that and more to multiple clients all over the UK and Ireland. It’s time to take activ to the next level and I wanted to detail some of the additional support available to you as we enter 2021 and beyond.

Nothing changes in terms of our excellent support for clients, in fact, we have some really talented professionals’ to be on hand whenever they’re required. Not to mention a high level of digital knowledge to draw upon.
A strong franchisee network
With franchisees across the UK and Ireland, many of which have been with the business since 2008, each comes with a wealth of knowledge. Each and every consultant has something to add to the mix. I am looking forward to opening up regular communication with you all to tailor some of our franchisee support.
Regular marketing Support
With our head office marketing team, I will be implementing a regular calendar of marketing support topics via our activ marketing academy. This inspiring series will help you implement marketing expertise within your own businesses.
On to the future…
I am elated to be taking over such a great business at such an exciting time. We are people first and I am working with some cracking people. Plus, the opportunity to combine two of my passions in marketing and being self-employed is something I continue to be grateful for.
